About the Canadian Business
Hall of Fame

The Canadian Business Hall of Fame celebrates the lifetime achievements of Canada’s business leaders. Each year, Inductees are chosen as Companions of the Order of the Business Hall of Fame to honour their contributions to the economic development and prosperity of Canada.

As leading examples of achievement in business and in life, these individuals have demonstrated the qualities necessary to ensure the success and competitiveness of Canada in a global marketplace. As Companions, they are mentors and role models for JA youth who represent Canada’s future leaders.

The Induction Ceremony & Celebration is the signature national fundraising initiative in support of JA Canada. Celebrating the leaders of today and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.

Inspiring Students to Succeed in School, Life and Business Since 1919

JA was founded in 1919 by Horace A. Moses, Chairman of Strathmore Paper, in Springfield, Massachusetts. Since our founding, we have become the world’s largest not-for-profit organization dedicated to educating young people about business. In over 100 countries worldwide, JA inspires students to succeed in a global economy and reach their highest potential.

Canadian Business Hall of Fame Display, Brookfield Place

In 2009 Brookfield and JA Canada collaborated to establish a business history and CBHF installation in the lobby of Brookfield Place throughout the 161 and 181 Bay Street Buildings.

Our Companions and awards are featured through a series of banquettes with the purpose of highlighting the achievements of business leaders, showcasing their personas and stories to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders. In addition, the Canadian Business Hall of Fame has also promoted an appreciation of business history and how the past informs our future. The Business Archives are a physical location in Brookfield Place featuring an Iconic Heritage “Mosaic Mural”. Content selected through a committee to include a top twenty business events in Canada.

Aligned with the Brookfield lobby renovation, we are looking forward to creating a new modern installation by Fall 2025.
